Traffic Safety Officer
The Yorktown Police Department Traffic Safety Officer, Justin Foley serves as the liaison between the public and the police department regarding vehicle and traffic concerns, pedestrian safety concerns and various other road and general safety issues. Officer Foley investigates traffic concerns and evaluates data collected by department counters and measuring devices.
The Department’s traffic unit may be utilized to conduct strict enforcement in areas experiencing habitual violations in an attempt to gain motorist compliance. Officer Foley sits on the Town of Yorktown Public Safety Committee made up of representatives from the Town Board, Highway and Police Departments. He also is a member of the Citizens Traffic Advisory Committee which brings together members of the community together with government officials to solve traffic challenges within the town.
