Yorktown Police report the arrest of 27 year old Croton on Hudson, NY, resident, Christopher R. Hamilton, who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving with a suspended license, both Unclassified Misdemeanors, refusal to take a breath test, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of a property damage accident, all traffic infractions.

On August 30, 2017 at about 06:49 PM, P.O. A. Garcia while on routine patrol observed a vehicle that was smoking and had heavy front end damage driving westbound on Route 6 and initiated a vehicle and traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle was identified as, Christopher R. Hamilton, and a routine computer check revealed that his privilege to drive in the state of New York was allegedly suspended for failure to answer a summons. Further investigation at the scene revealed that Christopher R. Hamilton was allegedly driving while intoxicated and refused to take a breath test. He was additionally charged for allegedly leaving the scene of a property damage accident and having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. Christopher R. Hamilton was arrested and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing.

Christopher R. Hamilton was processed on the above charges and released on $250.00 cash bail to a friend. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on September 12, 2017 at 6:00 pm.
