Yorktown Police report the arrest of 54 year old Cortlandt Manor, NY resident, Vasel Balbona, who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .18% or more both unclassified Misdemeanors and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle 1ST degree, a class E Felony.

On August 21, 2017 at approximately 08:06 PM the Yorktown Police received a call of a vehicle that was allegedly being operated erratically on Crompond Rd crossing the double yellow lines and P.O. Woodard was dispatched to investigate. P.O. Woodard located the vehicle parked in the lot located at 2041 Saw Mill river Rd and the operator was identified as Vasel Balbona. A computer check revealed that Vasel Balbona’s license was allegedly suspended for pending prosecution for an alcohol related offense. Further investigation on the scene revealed that he was allegedly operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and while having a blood alcohol content of .18% or more. Balbona was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters for processing.

Balbona was processed on the above charges and released on $750.00 cash bail to a friend. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on August 31, 2017 at 6pm.
