Yorktown Police report the arrest of 29 year old Christopher Salgado, of Cortlandt Manor, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd an Unclassified Misdemeanor, and the traffic infractions of not wearing a seat belt and unlicensed operation. In addition, Christopher Salgado was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation.

On August 3, 2017 at about 10:20 am while conducting traffic enforcement P.O. DiPietrantonio stopped Salgado for allegedly not wearing a seatbelt. A routine license check revealed that he was allegedly operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license and also while his privilege to do so was suspended 8 times for failing to answer a summons and for failing to pay a fine. It is also alleged that Christopher Salgado was unlawfully possessing marijuana. Christopher Salgado was placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Department for processing.

Once at Yorktown Police Department further investigation revealed that Christopher Salgado had an open bench warrant from the Clarkstown Police Department for failing to appear on a pending charge. Christopher Salgado was processed, released on $200.00 cash bail and turned over to Clarkstown Police on the bench warrant. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on September 5, 2017 at 6:00PM to answer the charges.
