Yorktown Police report the arrest of 25 year old Torrington, CT resident, Francis T. Baba, who is charged with Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree a class A Misdemeanor.

On June 30th, 2017 PO Pietraniello responded to a Yorktown residence to investigate a report of a domestic incident. An investigation revealed that Francis T. Baba allegedly violated a duly served Yorktown Justice Court Order of Protection by calling the protected party. On July 13, 2017 at approximately 03:30 PM, Francis T. Baba voluntarily turned himself in at the Yorktown Police Department and was charged with Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree.

After being processed on the above charge Francis T. Baba was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Raniolo who issued another Temporary Order of Protection in favor of the victim and set bail at of $10,000.00 cash or $20,000.00 bond. Francis T. Baba was unable to post bail and was remanded to the custody of the Westchester County Department of Corrections. He is due back in Yorktown Court on July 27, 2017 at 6:00 PM.
