Yorktown Police report the arrest of 26 year old Michael Goldberg of Yorktown NY, who is charged with issuing a bad check, a Class B Misdemeanor.

On June 27, 2017 the Yorktown Police Department received a call from Taconic Pharmacy, 3659 Lee Road, in reference to receiving a check from a closed account. Upon arrival an investigation was conducted by P.O. Curtis and it was alleged that Michael Goldberg issued a bad check from his personal checking account on June 18, 2017 in the amount of $74.00 to pay for prescription medications, while knowing that the account was closed and did not contain sufficient funds. Payment was refused by Putnam County Savings bank on June 27, 2017. On July 14, 2017 Michael Goldberg voluntarily appeared at Yorktown Police HQ’s and was arrested in reference to this incident.

Following processing on the above charge Michael Goldberg was issued an appearance ticket and released after posting $100.00 cash bail. Michael Goldberg is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on August 15, 2017 at 6:00 PM.
