Yorktown Police report the arrest of 53 year old Samuel Barbuto of Sleepy Hollow, NY who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation Third Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, and the following traffic Violations, Operate Motor Vehicle While Using a Cell Phone and Unlicensed Operation.

According to Police on July 5th 2017 at approximately 11:10 AM Officer Garcia was on patrol when he observed a gray Ford traveling Eastbound on Trout 6, with the operator of said vehicle allegedly using a cell phone.

The vehicle was stopped and the operator identified as Samuel Barbuto. A computer check as the scene revealed that Barbuto was allegedly unlicensed and his privilege to drive in NY State was suspended. Barbuto was arrested at the scene and transported to police headquarters. Following processing Barbuto was issued traffic summonses in reference to the aforementioned charges and then released on $200 bail. Barbuto is scheduled to answer said charges in Yorktown Court on August 3rd 2017 at 6:00 PM.
