Yorktown Police report the arrest of 27 year old Yorktown NY resident, Michael C. Cruz, who is charged with two counts of aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree, both unclassified misdemeanors, unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation and inadequate muffler, traffic infraction.

On June 30, 2017 at approximately 8:38 PM, P.O. M. Campion was on routine patrol in the area of Strang Blvd when he observed a vehicle which allegedly had an inadequate muffler and initiated a vehicle and traffic stop. The driver was identified as Michael C. Cruz and a computer check revealed that his NYS driving privileges were allegedly revoked. Further investigation revealed that Michael C. Cruz was allegedly in possession of a quantity of marijuana. Michael C. Cruz was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.

At Headquarters Michael C. Cruz was processed on the above charges and released to a family member after $200.00 bail was posted. He is due to back in Yorktown Justice Court on August 1, 2017 at 6:00 PM.
