Yorktown Police report the arrest of fifty-seven year old Kenneth R. Mitchell of 86 Halyan Road, Yorktown Heights, New York, who is charged with two counts of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd Degree, Unclassified Misdemeanors, failing to signal a turn and driving an unregistered motor vehicle, both traffic infractions.

On June 12, 2017 at approximately 09:28 PM, Officer Caprio was on routine patrol on observed a motorist who allegedly made a turn without signaling. Officer Caprio initiated a vehicle and traffic stop and identified the driver as Kenneth R. Mitchell. A computer check revealed that Mitchell’s driver’s license was allegedly suspended 13 times on 7 different dates for failing to answer summons and failing to pay fines. The check also revealed that the vehicles registration was allegedly expired. Mitchell was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters.

At Headquarters Mitchell was processed on the above charges and released on $200.00 cash bail to a family member. He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on July 13, 2017 at 6:00 pm.
