Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 41 year old Yorktown, NY resident, Italo Martin, who is charged with Attempted Assault in the 3rd degree, a Class B Misdemeanor and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A Misdemeanor.

According to Police, School Resource Officer Mundy did investigate a report of past assault that occurred at 1918 Longvue Street on 06/01/17. After an ongoing investigation and review of the evidence in this case it is alleged that the defendant attempted to assault the victim and in doing so did endanger the welfare of a child.

The defendant was placed under arrest at his residence. He was processed on the above charges and was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Raniolo in the Yorktown Justice Court. He was released on his own recognizance and a Temporary Order of Protection was issued on behalf of the victim. The defendant is due to appear in Yorktown Court on June 6th, 2017 at 6:00 PM.
