Yorktown Police report the arrest of 45 year old Far Rockaway, NY resident, Jerome S. Perry, who is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, Possession of a hypodermic needle, both Class A Misdemeanors, Operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration, an Unclassified Misdemeanor and having a broken tail light, a Traffic Infraction.

Police report that on April 12, 2017 at approximately 11:23 PM, P.O. J. Hannigan while on routine patrol observed a vehicle on Saw Mill River Rd. that allegedly had a broken tail light.  A vehicle and traffic stop was initiated and a computer check revealed that the vehicles registration was allegedly suspended.  Further investigation at the scene revealed that the operator, Jerome S. Perry, was allegedly in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine and Ecstasy, both controlled substances,  and in possession of a hypodermic needle.  He was arrested and transported back to Headquarters.

After processing on the above charges Jerome S. Perry was released on $89.00 cash bail and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on May 11, 2107 at 6:00 PM.
