Yorktown Police report the arrest of 40 year old Mahopac, NY resident, Stephen C. Swett, who is charged with Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree a Class “A” Misdemeanor. 

On April 11, 2017 a Yorktown resident came into Police Headquarters to report a past domestic incident and P.O. Hannigan was assigned to investigate.  An investigation revealed that that Stephen C. Swett allegedly violated a duly served Westchester County Family Court Temporary Order of Protection by speaking to the protected party.  Stephen C. Swett was contacted by Officer Hannigan and agreed to surrender himself on the above charge. On April 13, 2017 at approximately 05:30 PM Stephen C. Swett arrived at Police Headquarters and was arrested.

After being processed on the above charge Stephen C. Swett was arraigned by the Honorable Judge Lagonia and released on his own recognizance.  He is due back in Yorktown Court on May 11, 2017 at 6:00 PM.
