Yorktown Police report the arrest of 19 year old Mario Mendoza of 144 New Chalet Drive, Mohegan Lake, New York, who is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree, an Unclassified Misdemeanor and for having inadequate tail lamps, a traffic infraction. 

According to police on April 12, 2017 at about 1:48 am, Officer Mullen was on routine patrol on Lee Blvd when it’s alleged he observed a vehicle being operated with a tail light out.  The vehicle was stopped and the operator was identified as Mario Mendoza.  During an investigation on scene a routine driver’s license check was conducted. It is alleged that the operator of the vehicle, Mario Mendoza was driving while his driver’s license was suspended for failing to answer a summons. Mendoza was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.

Following processing on the charges Mario Mendoza was issued uniform traffic tickets and released on his recognizance.  Mendoza is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on May 11, 2017 at 6:00 pm.
