Burglary Arrest

Yorktown Police report the arrest of 24 year old Daniel J. Ucci of Jefferson Valley NY who is charged with Burglary In The Second Degree, a Class C Felony, and Menacing In The Second Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

According to police on July 17th 2014 at approximately 1:18am a call was received from the manager of Steinman Magic Carpets located in the parking lot of the Jefferson Valley Mall, 650 Lee Blvd. reporting that an unidentified male had allegedly just entered the above business and pointed an apparent hand gun at the store manager before fleeing the scene on foot.   Officers Robert Pavletich, Daniel Kaen and Robert Doerr responded to the scene at which time a male matching the description of the suspect was stopped on Hill Blvd. by Officer Kaen and identified as Daniel J. Ucci.  An investigation at the scene revealed that Ucci allegedly entered said business while the store manager was sleeping inside and pointed a black air soft gun at the manager before fleeing the scene.

Ucci was arrested at the scene and transported to police headquarters.  Following processing on the aforementioned charges Ucci was arraigned by Judge Lagonia who then released on $10,000 bail.   Ucci is scheduled to answer said charges in Yorktown Court on  July 22, 2014 at 6pm.
