Yorktown Police report the arrest of an 18 year old Shrub Oak male whose name has been withheld due to his eligibility for Youthful Offender Status who has been charged with Unlawful Possession Of A Weapon Upon School Grounds, a Violation of the NY State Penal Law.
According to police on June 19th 2014 at approximately 7:44pm members of the Yorktown Police were conducting an undercover drug enforcement investigation when they allegedly observed an unidentified male waving about what appeared to be a gun in the Lakeland High School parking lot. The male was stopped by Officer Daniel Kaen and identified as the 18 year old Shrub Oak male. An investigation at the scene revealed that the gun in question was allegedly confirmed to be a B.B gun.
The male was arrested at the scene on the aforementioned charge and issued an Appearance Ticket directing him to answer said charge in Yorktown Court on July 22nd 2014 at 6:00pm. Following processing at the scene the male was released on his own recognizance.
