Hit & Run Accident Arrest

Yorktown Police report the arrest of 39 year old Jefferson Valley NY resident, Mohammad Almuher who is charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury auto accident, a Class A Misdemeanor.

On May 22, 2017, at approximately 5:22 PM, Yorktown Police responded to 3651 Lee Road for a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.  Officer Beyrer conducted an investigation at the scene and revealed that Almuher was allegedly operating a motor vehicle when he struck a pedestrian causing her to sustain a physical injury.  It is further alleged that Almuher then intentionally left the scene of the accident without making any attempt to report the incident. Almuher was located, placed under arrest and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing.

Almuher was processed on the above charge and released on his own recognizance to a family member. He is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court on June 22, 2017 at 6:00 pm.

Marijuana Arrest

Yorktown Police report the arrest of a 16 year old Shenorock, NY resident, whose name is being withheld due to his eligibility for youthful offender status. The defendants was charged with criminal possession of marijuana in the fifth degree, a class B misdemeanor and fail to yield the right of way, a traffic infraction.

Police report that on May 19, 2017 at approximately 9:20 pm, P.O. Doherty observed that the defendant allegedly failed to yield the right of way while operating his motor vehicle on Commerce Street. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly in possession of a quantity of marijuana. The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.

The defendant was processed on the above charges and was released on his own recognizance.  He is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court on June 20, 2017 at 6:00 pm.

Reckless Driving, Steroid Possession Arrest

Yorktown Police report the arrest of 21 year old Putnam Valley, NY resident, Nicholas A. Dellabate who is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor and reckless driving, an unclassified misdemeanor. The defendant was additionally charged with obstructed view, following too close and speed not reasonable and prudent, all traffic infractions.

Police report that on May 19, 2017 at approximately 7:36 PM, P.O. Caprio observed the defendant operating a motor vehicle while his view was allegedly obstructed on Route 6.  It is further alleged that the defendant was driving recklessly, following vehicles too closely and travelling at a speed not reasonable and prudent. A traffic stop was initiated on Route 6.  An investigation at the scene revealed that Nicholas A. Dellabate was allegedly in possession of two different anabolic steroids, both a controlled substance.  The defendant was placed under arrest and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.

Nicholas A. Dellabate was processed on the above charges and was released on $250 cash bail.  He is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court on June 20, 2017 at 6:00 pm

 

DWI Arrest

Yorktown Police report the arrest of 26 year old Yorktown, NY resident, Alex A. Garcia, who is charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While Intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08% or more both unclassified Misdemeanors. Garcia is additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a violation as well as unsafe lane change and driving on the shoulder, both traffic Infractions.

On 05/18/17 at approximately 11:45 PM Sgt. M. Rapisarda while on routine patrol observed a vehicle which was allegedly being operated erratically, crossing the double yellow lines and driving on the shoulder.  A vehicle and traffic stop was initiated and it is further alleged that Garcia was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated while having a blood alcohol content of .08% or more and was also in possession of 1.02 grams of marijuana wax.  Garcia was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters for processing.

Garcia was processed on the above charges and released on his own recognizance to a friend.  He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court on June 01, 2017 at 6:00 pm.

Shoplifting Arrest

Yorktown Police report the arrest of 36 year old Mika Tsunekage of Yorktown NY who is charged with Petit Larceny, a Class A Misdemeanor.

According to police on May 18th 2017 at 11:24 am a call was received from K-Mart security reporting that a female had fled the store after stealing store merchandise.  Officer DiPietrantonio responded to the scene and conducted an investigation which revealed that a female identified as Mika Tsunekage allegedly exited K-Mart without attempting to pay for 5 pair of women’s underwear valued at a total of of $29.95.  At approximately 12:43 pm Mika Tsunekage voluntarily appeared at police headquarters at which time she was arrested in reference to the incident.

Following processing on the aforementioned charge, Tsunekage was issued an appearance ticket directing her to answer said charge in Yorktown Court on June 20th 2017 at 6:00 pm.  Tsunekage was then released on her own recognize.

Assault Arrest

Yorktown Police report the arrest of 19 year old Sean Chatman of 122 Panorama Drive, Mohegan Lake, NY, who is charged with Assault in the 3rd degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

According to Police on 05/05/17 at approximately 9:30 PM, PO Gregorio was dispatched to an altercation at Club Fit, 600 Bank Road, Yorktown NY.  Upon arrival an investigation was completed and it is alleged that Sean Chatman assaulted another individual causing injuries.  He was arrested and transported to the Police Headquarters for processing.

Sean Chatman was processed on the above charge, released on his own recognizance and issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on 06/06/17 at 6:00 PM.

Two Contractors Charged with Stealing Money from Elderly Victim

Yorktown Police report the arrest of fifty-four year old John E. MacInnes, Sr. and twenty-six year old John E. MacInnes, Jr., both of 45 Henry Ave., Harrison, New York, who are both charged with one count of Petit Larceny, a Class “A” Misdemeanor.

On May 16, 2017, at about 9:28 am, Officer Nadoraski responded to The Country House, 2000 Baldwin Rd., to investigate a past larceny.  After conducting an investigation at the scene, it is alleged that MacInnes Sr. and MacInnes Jr. entered an elderly resident’s room and stole money from her.

MacInnes Sr. and MacInnes Jr. were contacted by phone and voluntarily surrendered at Yorktown Police Headquarters where they were arrested.  After arrest processing, they were arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court.  Both defendants were released on their own recognizance and they were instructed to appear at the Yorktown Justice Court on June 13, 2017 at 6:00 PM.

Marijuana Arrest

Yorktown Police report the arrest of an 18 year old Putnam Valley NY resident, whose name is being withheld due to eligibility for youthful offender status, on the charge of Criminal possession of Marijuana Fifth Degree, a class B Misdemeanor.

On May 14, 2017 at approximately 09:11 PM Sgt. Rapisarda while on routine patrol observed an occupied suspicious vehicle parked in the Jefferson Valley Mall parking lot and P.O. Caprio and P.O. Gegorio were dispatched to assist.  An investigation at the scene revealed that the defendant was allegedly in possession of 29.64 grams of marijuana. The defendant was arrested and transported to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.

The defendant was processed on the above charge and released on $200.00 cash bail.  He is due to back in Yorktown Justice Court on June 15, 2017 at 6:00 pm.

Public Lewdness Arrest at Apartment Complex

Yorktown Police report the arrest of 37 year old Yorktown, NY resident, Ramon M. Sanlatte, who is charged with Public Lewdness, a Class “B” Misdemeanor. 

On May 14, 2017 at approximately 02:00 PM Yorktown Police received a call a naked male behind the residence of 9 Rochambeau and P.O. Nadoraski, P.O. Peters and Sgt. Scatola were dispatched to the scene.  Upon arrival an investigation was conducted and it’s alleged that Ramon M. Sanlatte while in a location that can be seen by the public had his pants down and his genitals exposed while masturbating.  Sanlatte was arrested and transported to Yorktown Police Headquarters.

At Headquarters Sanlatte was processed on the above charge and arraigned by the Honorable Judge Lagonia and released on his own recognizance.  He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on May 16, 2017 at 6:00 PM.
